Smoky Mountain Coffee Shops
What’s the first thing you do when you wake up? If your answer is make a cup of coffee then you definitely aren’t alone. Whenever my alarm first goes off in the morning, I like to say it’s really an alarm telling me that it’s coffee time so I am actually happy to get out of that warm and cozy bed. Nothing beats that wonderful aroma, it’s no wonder why so many of us love it so much. Not all of us have the luxury of having the time to make a fresh pot in the morning, so that’s when our local shops and cafes come in handy. Not only do they offer an extended amount of choices that we may not be able to make at home, but they also usually have tasty treats to go along with it. When it comes to vacationing, there is nothing better than sitting out on your private balcony with a warm cup of joe in hand, getting that relaxation you deserve. Our charming area offers some of the most incredible views of our beautiful rolling hills that you’ll love getting to see. There’s also so much to do in the Smokies that you need a quick stop at a cafe to regain some energy. We’ve been seeing more and more new places open their doors to us and we know 2019 is going to be an exciting year for all things coffee. Let’s take a look at some Smoky Mountain Coffee Shops that are definitely worth visiting!
This small town has some of the best spots when you’re looking for that first cup of the day. If your day consists of shopping along the parkway, you’re going to come across a few of our absolute favorite shops. Located in the Village (full of 27 unique and locally owned boutiques), you’ll find a couple of our recommendations. The Village Cafe & Creamery is sure to become one of your staples when you need a little caffeine. They have everything from coffee and teas to delicious cappuccinos and even the red eye (which is sure to wake you right up!) A special bonus about this particular place is that it’s also a creamery, so you can pick up something sweet while you’re here. Another fantastic place to visit is Coffee & Company which is located in the same area. According to their website, they are Gatlinburg’s oldest roasting coffee shop. They have flavored coffees, seasonal favorites, and plenty more. This one might just become your newest addiction. Burg Coffees is another excellent destination to visit when you’re looking for that perfect cup of coffee or some of the best espresso you can find. They also have plenty of soy and almond milk varieties. This is a must visit when you’re in Gatlinburg! The last place we’ll talk about it called the Coffee Shack and it’s this cute and quaint spot on the parkway. They serve fresh coffee with plenty of different options and it’s an easy stop while you’re out and about. Nothing beats shopping local!
Are you ready to try some more delicious beverages? Pigeon Forge is home to a few more of our favorite brew stations. First up is Espresso Yourself (located at the Old Mill) and I’m sure just the name is already enough to make you want to stop by. Here you will find some of the most unique and delightful hot or cold beverages in our area. They have things like a peanut butter cup latte and caramel apple smoothies! The variety is endless and they will keep you coming back for more. If you’re at The Island, you can also pick up a warm brew from the Margaritaville Coffee Shop. Trust us when we say, you’ll need it when you see all the action happening as this amazing one stop shop. Pigeon Forge is also home to some of your usual well known and popular spots like Starbucks and Krispy Kreme. Although it isn’t exactly coffee related, there is a new and exciting place here in town called Teaffle-Bubble Tea & Waffles that is worth mentioning if you’re looking for something a little bit different. The drink can range from tea, fruit, coffee, milk, and more and features bubbles at the bottom that are filled with tapioca or even jelly. It’s a very interesting drink, so you may want to stop by their location to ask questions. Let us know what you think when you try it!
Some of our absolute favorite Smoky Mountain Coffee Shops actually reside in Sevierville. One that is still somewhat new is Smoky Mountain Espresso (located at 1259 Middle Creek Rd, off of Veterans Blvd) and this is one that needs to be on your list. They offer an extremely cozy atmosphere and they have some of the best drinks around. They have everything from coffee to lattes and even the red eye you maybe craving. Their customer service is top notch and that’s what has us all coming back again and again. While this next place is a considered a bakery, we’re still just as excited about it. The Wildflour Bakehouse is small and locally owned sweet shop that has delectable goodies as well as tasty and fresh coffee and lattes. The purple decor and atmosphere they’ve created is adorable and it’s one place we’ve all been wanting to go to time after time. It’s located at 240 Forks of the River Pkwy and when you just take a look inside, you’ll instantly be hooked, trust us! There are plenty more we could suggest, but the last place we’re going to tell you about is Courthouse Donuts, located at 160 Court Ave. Not only do they have some of the best donuts around, but they also serve some incredible coffee to go with it. They also have a great lunch menu if you’re a little hungry after a busy day out and about. This is a must if you’re in Sevierville!
